TV Series
Series concept
Elska Herringbone is a pre-school series that immerses children in the quirky, playful arctic Island of Elska. Imagine Bjork has a playdate with the Teletubbies. Blending live action and animation, the world is playful, colorful, and filled with music.
Elska Herringbone is a free-spirited pioneer who discovers a newly-formed volcanic island on the edge of the Arctic Circle. There, she lives amongst a cast of quirky characters including a goofy Goobler, an elusive Arctic Fox, a grumpy polar bear modeled after Ernest Hemmingway, and a wild colony of Lost Socks.
The video below is an example of the cozy, felted world of the characters, and the splendor of the mossy, colorful world of the arctic island.
Music for the series
Elska released a pop-electronic album for families named “Middle of Nowhere.” It won a Silver Parents’ Choice Music and a NAAPA award.
